Luna
In May 2025, a notorious roadside zoo in Bandon, Oregon, was raided by multiple law enforcement agencies, after years of alarming reports from visitors and animal welfare groups. More than 300 animals were seized and all are being relocated to “appropriate, reputable facilities,” according to an Oregon State Police spokesperson. The moment we got the go-ahead from authorities, we loaded up a trailer with crates and supplies and raced to bring four survivors home.
With this being an open court case, we weren’t sure if and when we would get permanent custody of Felix, Oliver, Luna, and Zane. But after four months of investigation, police arrested the owner of West Coast Game Park Safari, following a grand jury indictment on 371 charges.
We were overjoyed to receive the news that we’ve been granted permanent custody of the Oregon rescue cats! Now, these four can keep thriving and experiencing all the wonderful parts of sanctuary and finally be the wild cats that they are.
Luna is a beautiful 3-year-old serval, born in 2022 with a gentle, reserved nature. While she can be a bit timid, Luna’s calm spirit shines through once you get to know her. She enjoys having her own space and spends her days lounging peacefully on her deck or relaxing in the grass, especially when the sun is out.
Luna currently shares a habitat wall with Zane, and the two are slowly getting to know each other. With time and patience, we hope they’ll become wonderful companions. Graceful and serene, Luna is a quiet soul who reminds us that sometimes the simple moments—like a warm breeze and a sunny spot—are the best ones of all.
