Felix

In May 2025, a notorious roadside zoo in Bandon, Oregon, was raided by multiple law enforcement agencies, after years of alarming reports from visitors and animal welfare groups. More than 300 animals were seized and all are being relocated to “appropriate, reputable facilities,” according to an Oregon State Police spokesperson. The moment we got the go-ahead from authorities, we loaded up a trailer with crates and supplies and raced to bring four survivors home.
With this being an open court case, we weren’t sure if and when we would get permanent custody of Felix, Oliver, Luna, and Zane. But after four months of investigation, police arrested the owner of West Coast Game Park Safari, following a grand jury indictment on 371 charges.
We were overjoyed to receive the news that we’ve been granted permanent custody of the Oregon rescue cats! Now, these four can keep thriving and experiencing all the wonderful parts of sanctuary and finally be the wild cats that they are.

Felix is a 6-year-old Eurasian lynx, born in 2019, with a heart as big as his beautiful tufted ears. Though he can be shy when meeting new people, he quickly warms up once he feels comfortable—especially if you stop by to chat! When he’s happy, Felix shows it in the most endearing ways, rubbing his face along the fence and even presenting his tail end as a sign of contentment.

His favorite pastimes include lounging peacefully beneath his hammock and enjoying the enriching scents placed around his habitat. While Felix doesn’t currently have a roommate, there are hopes he’ll one day share his space with Oliver. With his gentle nature and quiet charm, Felix continues to blossom more each day in his sanctuary home.
