Rasta

Rastafari, (Rasta) was born in 2006 and came to WCR three years later from Animal Rescue League of Iowa. A local family had purchased her serval illegally and wanted to surrender her before the authorities confiscated and euthanized her. Rasta had escaped several times in the past two-plus years that they had her.

The last time she had escaped, she was missing for a week in the Iowa cold. When they did find her, she was dehydrated, suffering from frostbite, and close to death. She recovered but lost portions of her ears and part of her tail to frostbite. Rasta is enjoying her golden years, content and happy doing whatever she wants.
