Stormi
At just 19 months old, Stormi the serval has already lived two very different lives. Born into captivity and kept as a pet, she quickly outgrew the confines of domestic life. Her boundless energy, wild instincts, and insatiable curiosity proved too much for her former owner, who could no longer meet her needs. Thankfully, Stormi found a new home at WildCat Ridge Sanctuary, where she can finally embrace her wild nature.
Feisty and full of spirit, Stormi spends her days thoroughly exploring her enclosure, pouncing on anything that moves, and keeping the staff on their toes. While Stormi certainly enjoys conventional feline activities like climbing, stalking, and leaping, we discovered that she also enjoys something a little more unexpected: story time. More specifically, she seems to enjoy science-fiction graphic novels. Whether it’s tales of dying moons or mythical beings, Stormi seems to resonate with stories as wild and untamed as she is.
Now safe and thriving, Stormi serves as a reminder that wild cats are meant to be just that—wild. At WildCat Ridge, she finally has the space, care, and freedom to be her true, extraordinary self.
